Pastor Aaron Schumann was born in 1982 to Pastor Daniel and Deborah Schumann in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is the second of four children. Aaron spent the first few years of his life growing up in the small farming town of Oak Grove, Wisconsin. Around age 7, Aaron’s father accepted a call to Normal, Illinois where Aaron spent the majority of his childhood years. He later attended Luther Preparatory School in Watertown, WI, and enjoyed playing, baseball, basketball, and football. Upon graduating from Luther Prep, he attended Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota, where he enjoyed playing sports all 4 years (football for 4 years, baseball for 1). He graduated in 2005.
After college Aaron went on to attend Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, Wisconsin. He graduated from the Seminary in 2009 and was assigned to Luther Preparatory School to teach Old Testament and Acts & Epistles. Aaron spent two years at Luther Prep before being reassigned to Faith Lutheran Church in Pittsburg, Kansas.
In August of 2010 Aaron married his wife Ruth. Ruth works for the federal government and works in Joplin. In their spare time Aaron and Ruth like to travel, go to sporting events, camp, fish, grill out, and play games, just to name a few things.
Pastor Schumann was installed at Faith Lutheran on August 14th, 2011.
Aaron and Ruth are extremely excited and happy to be at Faith. During their time here they have been blessed with three sons and a girl on the way in 2018.
