(2 Corinthians 2:14 NIV) “But thanks be to God who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ…”

It’s an amazing statement which God makes in the verse above!  He is saying that He will ALWAYS be leading us in triumphal procession.  Always?  Yeah!  Always!

Does it always feel that way?  Does it always look that way?  Not so much.  The challenges of this life, the mistakes/sins which we commit, etc., can all make us feel like we’re marching in anything but a victory parade.

But God says He’s leading you in triumphal procession!  God says that He’s leading you in a victory parade!  Always!

How can that be?  Remember two things: a) you follow Jesus—He’s the ultimate victor!  b) your march will end in the glory of heaven!  With those two truths undergirding you, you are an eternal winner!  And so your march to your eternal home, following your Risen Savior has to be described as a triumphal procession!

And so I pray that your week is a great one! I pray that it’s full of satisfaction and joy … if that’s God’s will for you.

But whether your week is “great” or “one of those weeks,” whether it’s full of “satisfaction and joy” or “stress and frustration,” be assured of this: your God is leading you in triumphal procession!  He promises it!

Amazed to be marching in triumphal procession, just like you,

Pastor Schumann
