(1 Corinthians 1:8 NIV)  “He (Jesus) will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

How have things been going now that Thanksgiving is over?  Have you fully recuperated?  Are things back to normal now that all of the family is gone?  Or are you still feeling the effects of Thanksgiving?  Are you tired?  Do you feel as if your work has piled up and you find yourself behind?  Are the stresses of the Christmas season getting the best of you?  Do you just feel physically and emotionally worn down?

All people go through times in their lives when they feel this way.  But no matter how worn down you may find yourself feeling God promises you that he will keep you strong!  He promises to keep you strong through the faith the Holy Spirit has given you in Christ Jesus.  It is Jesus who gives you the strength to live every day of your life because he forgives you for the sins you have committed.  It is in Jesus you have strength because when you face your hardships, your stressful times, and your trials you know that Jesus is there fighting those battles for you.  And it is in Jesus you will be kept strong to the end, until he comes again, because Jesus has made you blameless in God’s sight because of what he did for you on the cross.

And so during this sometimes busy and hectic time of year when you begin to feel worn down, tired, and stressed know that because of the faith in your heart, Jesus will keep you strong, he will be with you until he comes again.

Relying on the strength of Jesus just like you,

Pastor Schumann
